“I miss you” doesn't cut it.
Those words are overused.
I miss you doesn't cut it
And they often get confused.
Thrown around with boredom,
Carelessly cast away.
People who don't know their strength
Waste them everyday.
Uttered for every second
When someone's not around,
Spoken, then forgotten
And then buried in the ground.
They should not lose their meaning,
for what better way is there,
to tell someone how much it hurts
and how it isn't fair.
“I miss you” doesn't cut it,
Don't you understand?
I want to tell you to come here,
To take hold of my hand.
I cannot tell you how I feel,
The words sound off to me:
The you that runs 'round in my head
Will not let me be.
